Antenatal Care

The term “antenatal care” refers to the care and treatment of a pregnant woman. 

The following are the main goals of prenatal care:

  • Preserving the mother’s health during pregnancy
  • Identification and adequate care of high-risk cases
  • Prevent issues from developing.
  • Reduce mother and newborn mortality, as well as morbidity and mortality.
  • Remove the mother’s anxiety and concern over the delivery process.
  • Teach the mother about child care, nutrition, cleanliness, and sanitation.
