Antenatal Care
The term “antenatal care” refers to the care and treatment of a pregnant woman.
The following are the main goals of prenatal care:
- Preserving the mother’s health during pregnancy
- Identification and adequate care of high-risk cases
- Prevent issues from developing.
- Reduce mother and newborn mortality, as well as morbidity and mortality.
- Remove the mother’s anxiety and concern over the delivery process.
- Teach the mother about child care, nutrition, cleanliness, and sanitation.
